This pair of ephemeral flower and beetle dangle earrings delicately symbolises the fleeting nature of life. The fading flower petals are captured by fine gold chains, on which hang an openwork green leaf and a small beetle. To complement this trendy piece of jewellery, a faceted red stone is set in the centre of the fading flower. This pair of costume jewellery earrings is another interpretation of the elements found in the still lifes of the Flemish painters of the Golden Age. Gold-plated brass, hand-enamelled.
